About the position

We are seeking a skilled Application / SQL Database Developer with 3-5+ years of experience in SQL development. The role focuses on writing SQL queries, optimizing queries, and managing data to support our data projects and reporting needs. The ideal candidate will have experience with Oracle databases and familiarity with Oracle APEX, contributing to the development and maintenance of robust, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain SQL code and scripts to meet business requirements.
• Perform query optimization to ensure efficient database performance.
• Design and maintain database structures, tables, views, and indexes.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate database functions into applications.
• Conduct regular data validation and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy.
• Generate reports and data extracts for business needs.
• Document and maintain data models, procedures, and code repositories.

Requirements

• 3 - 5+ years of experience with SQL development.
• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Understanding of relational database principles and data architecture.
• Knowledge of database design and best practices.
• Associate Degree or comparable certification in SQL and/or other programming language.
• Experience with Oracle databases is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Oracle APEX is a plus.
• Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills.
