The Application Developer position is a critical role responsible for highly technical systems and business analysis in partnership with management. The individual in this role will create, manage, maintain, and debug programs, scripts, and SQL, ensuring that all phases of project implementation are administered under the general direction of IT management. This includes coding, testing, documentation, and environment-specific preparation. The developer will be tasked with identifying and resolving challenges with application and system software, responding to problems immediately to ensure continuous systems availability. Communication with end-users is essential to resolve application design and logic problems effectively. The position requires regular and reliable adherence to the assigned schedule and compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures, including safety guidelines. Additionally, the developer will utilize an electronic time management system to input time, attendance, and paid-off requests. In terms of non-essential job functions, the developer may also be required to develop general and detailed specifications for applications or systems in conjunction with end-users and management. The role includes meeting 24/7 on-call requirements and responding appropriately to emergencies as necessary. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience in a related field, along with three years of experience in an IT environment and at least one year of experience in application development and support. Expertise with relevant applications and tools, including SQL query language, SSIS packages, custom reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, Excel, and relational database systems, is essential. Strong analytical skills, logical problem-solving abilities, and exceptional organizational skills are required to meet strict deadlines across multiple assignments. The candidate should also demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with all levels within the organization, while maintaining confidentiality and securing technical company information.
