About the position

As an Application Developer at Baker Commodities, you will play a crucial role in developing and supporting web-based application systems tailored to meet the needs and requirements of our client group. This position requires a strong foundation in Microsoft-based information systems, as you will be collaborating with team members to create front-end applications that align with client specifications. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and participating in system testing alongside other involved parties, ensuring that all applications function seamlessly and meet quality standards. In addition to application development, you will provide desktop support to all staff members, demonstrating your ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization. Strong analytical skills are essential, as you will be tasked with collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating significant amounts of information with a keen attention to detail and accuracy. You will also be responsible for interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and providing ongoing reports to stakeholders. Your role will involve working closely with other IT department team members on various technology-related projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed in accordance with department and company procedures. Regular attendance and punctuality are critical for the smooth operation of the company, and you will be expected to maintain these standards. Other duties may be assigned as necessary, contributing to the overall success of the team and the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support web-based application systems that meet client needs.
  • Coordinate and participate in system testing with involved parties.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop front-end web applications.
  • Provide desktop support to all staff members.
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information accurately.
  • Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques.
  • Provide ongoing reports based on data analysis.
  • Support other IT department team members with various technology-related projects.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Follow department and company procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience with JS Framework (Vue preferred).
  • Experience with AJAX, CSS Less, and HTML.
  • Bonus knowledge in Typescript, .Net Core RazorPages, and Graphic Design/Photoshop.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work with end users at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Up to 20% travel to nearby local offices.
