About the position

As an Application Development Senior Engineer at STMicroelectronics, you will play a crucial role in managing activities related to the development of SiC and Power Modules, particularly in the automotive sector. This position involves collaborating with product development teams to create innovative solutions for car electrification, serving as the primary application interface for US-based automotive customers, and providing application-oriented product analysis and testing. You will also be responsible for promoting ST solutions through the development of promotional materials and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage activities relevant to PTsG SiC and Power Modules development with a focus on customer needs.
  • Contribute to product development and projects core teams for car electrification.
  • Serve as the primary application interface for US-based automotive customers.
  • Provide specific application-oriented product analysis and tests in US labs or at customer premises.
  • Promote ST solutions by developing promotional materials and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 2 to 6 years of total experience with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics, including DC-DC converters, OBC, and traction inverters.
  • Familiarity with traction inverters test equipment and power transistor characterization.
  • Experience with laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes, bidirectional power sources, electronic loads, and signal generators.
  • Knowledge of microcontroller and motor control algorithm implementation.
  • Understanding of automotive domain and mission profile assessment.
  • Awareness of system architecture evolution in power electronics and wide-band-gap materials.
