About the position

As an Application Engineer at 3M, you will play a crucial role in developing and replicating high-impact applications for the consumer electronics market, specifically focusing on adhesives and conductive materials. This position involves collaborating with global teams, understanding customer needs, and providing technical support for new product launches. You will also be responsible for training internal teams and customers, managing lab infrastructure, and conducting competitive analysis to drive innovation and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's/master's degree in engineering with Polymer science/ Chemical / Materials science/ Electronics as the major subject
• Minimum of 4 years of work experience in customer facing roles preferably in electronics segment
• Experience with tapes & adhesives, conductive materials
• Comfortable in handling testing equipment and analytical instruments
• Good understanding about IP protocols and procedures
• Exploratory mindset and aptitude to identify new applications and customer pain areas
• Strong analytical, presentation & communication skills
• Knowledge in converting processes like die-cutting and slitting is desired

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with creating digital contents using editing software & recording devices
• Ability to network effectively with internal and external customers
• Good key account management skills
