About the position

The Application Development Engineer role at KLA focuses on the development and support of innovative inspection tools for the semiconductor industry. This position is essential for characterizing next-generation semiconductor reticle inspection products, providing customer support, and conducting use-case demonstrations to drive product adoption and sales. The role requires collaboration with various teams and involves significant travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Characterization of next generation semiconductor reticle inspection products including designing test plans, collecting data, performing analysis, and publishing results.
• Demonstrating product value during beta testing and ramp phases to enable product penetration at customer facilities.
• Investigating semiconductor manufacturing yield issues and providing inspection solutions.
• Creating and sharing product value statements and use-cases with engineering, marketing, and sales groups.
• Training customers and other applications engineers on product use and benefits.
• Conducting new tool demonstrations to showcase tool performance and develop use cases.

Requirements

• Doctorate (Academic) Degree with 3 years of work experience, or a Master's Level Degree with 6 years of work experience, or a Bachelor's Level Degree with 8 years of related work experience.
• BS, MS, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Science/Engineering, Physics, or related studies.
