About the position

KLA is a global leader in diversified electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, and we are always looking to build our Application Engineers talent community. Although we do not currently have an opening, we are interested in learning about your background for future opportunities. In this role, you will be responsible for the characterization of next-generation state-of-the-art semiconductor reticle inspection products. This includes designing test plans, collecting data, performing analysis, and publishing results and recommendations in the form of application notes and best-known methods. As an Application Development Engineer, you will also play a crucial role in customer support by demonstrating product value during beta testing, head-to-head (H2H) comparisons, and tools in the ramp phase. This will enable product penetration and adoption at customer facilities. You will investigate semiconductor manufacturing yield issues and provide inspection solutions, creating and sharing product value statements and use-cases with engineering, marketing, and sales groups. Additionally, you will train customers and other applications engineers to ensure they are well-equipped to utilize our products effectively. Conducting new tool demonstrations to showcase tool performance and developing use cases to help drive tool sales will also be part of your responsibilities. This role requires worldwide travel, averaging between 10-60%, to support inspection products at customer sites. KLA focuses heavily on innovation, investing 15% of sales back into research and development. Our expert teams of physicists, engineers, data scientists, and problem-solvers work together with the world's leading technology providers to accelerate the delivery of tomorrow's electronic devices. Life at KLA is exciting, and our teams thrive on tackling challenging problems, ensuring that there is never a dull moment.
