About the position

Kforce has a client seeking an Application Development Engineer in Saint Louis, MO. This role involves being embedded on a development scrum team consisting of 10 other engineers and a scrum master. The team operates in 2-week sprints to develop new capabilities for the TruCare Cloud, which are designed to enhance service delivery to members. As part of a Full Stack team, the engineer will engage in both backend and frontend development, dedicating approximately 50% of their time to each area. Responsibilities include peer reviewing team members' code, collaborating on solutions, and partnering with the team to uphold agile methodologies and technical best practices. This position is crucial for the continuous improvement and innovation of the TruCare Cloud platform, ensuring that the team meets its goals effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Embedded on a development scrum team with 10 other engineers and a scrum master
• Working in 2-week sprints to develop new TruCare Cloud capabilities used to better serve our members
• Engaging in 50% backend development such as Rest APIs and 50% front end UI development
• Peer reviewing team member's code
• Collaborating with the team on solutions
• Partnering with the team to hold each other accountable to agile methodologies and technical best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in the field or in a related area
• 2+ years of experience with an Object-Oriented language such as Java, C++, C#, Ruby or Python
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful Web services
• Experience with Mongo or another No-SQL Database
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Harness
• Experience with Agile methodologies, Gitlab, SQL Server, and AWS/Cloud technologies is a plus
