About the position

The Application Development Expert will collaborate with technical staff to design, develop, test, and implement functionalities for the Application Software Cybersecurity Assessment and Remediation project. This role focuses on enhancing application security and ensuring software applications function correctly while addressing vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Research and adopt a framework for Application Security Testing with coding standards, rules, and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement methods to mitigate software vulnerabilities and ensure applications work as intended.
  • Use Rapid7 tools to detect and characterize application software vulnerabilities.
  • Follow OWASP Top 10 standards to identify software application vulnerabilities.
  • Develop secure user authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Analyze and document complex system requirement specifications.
  • Prepare detailed specifications and data flow diagrams.
  • Design business processes and modules.
  • Design and develop applications in .NET Framework 4.6 with ASP.NET, C#, MVC architecture, and Entity Framework 6.
  • Develop and maintain Oracle SQL, PL/SQL with Java embedded SQL scripts.
  • Integrate and test software components and manage their implementation.
  • Estimate software development time and schedules.
  • Provide ongoing system and application maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Review existing programs and recommend performance improvements.
  • Support migration of current Oracle Forms and Report legacy applications to a MS .Net environment.
  • Provide Salesforce administrator and application development support.

Requirements

  • At least four years of application security testing experience using Rapid7 tools.
  • Proficient in Oracle, SQL, Windows, Linux, Salesforce, .NET Framework 4.6 with ASP.NET, C#, and MVC architecture.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am-5:00 pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch on-site.
  • Must pass an FBI background check and drug test.
