About the position

The Development Lead role at State Street is focused on leading the design and development of cloud-based data warehouse solutions for F2B clients. The candidate will leverage their extensive experience in IT, particularly with Snowflake, Python, and Oracle, to implement scalable applications and manage data modeling and performance tuning. This position allows for a hybrid work model, balancing remote work with office presence to meet both personal and role requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of a DataModel for the Enterprise Data Platform servicing F2B clients.
• Design and develop scalable applications involving cloud-based infrastructure (Azure/Snowflake/Python/Cosmos DB).
• Write SQL queries and stored procedures for SQL Server or other relational databases (Oracle/SQL Server).
• Work with MicroServices, API/Event Driven Architecture, and development release engineering automation.
• Support production and overnight COB/SOB processing of accounting data and client statement generation.
• Install, configure, and test software; perform problem investigation and database configuration.
• Address data and environment issues, performing impact analysis and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• More than 8 years of experience in IT.
• Strong experience in design, data modeling, development, and performance tuning.
• Experience as an applications programmer on large-scale database management systems.
• Solid understanding of the Software as a Service (SaaS) model.
• Experience dealing with users or clients from either a technical or business area.
• Bachelor's Degree in a computer or IT related subject with 5+ years of experience.
