At Schwab, the Cloud Services organization within Schwab Technology Services (STS) plays a pivotal role in empowering Schwab's development teams. The focus is on providing an easy-to-use, self-service catalog of operationalized, secure cloud products that not only meet Schwab's regulatory requirements but also exceed client expectations. The mission of this organization is to operationalize Schwab's cloud capabilities, enabling the scalable and secure migration of enterprise applications to a multi-cloud infrastructure. As an Application Enablement Engineer, you will be part of a team that supports enterprise-level business applications transitioning to one of three cloud environments. This role requires a self-motivated individual with effective problem-solving skills who can thrive in a highly collaborative culture and team environment. You will support Cloud Application teams in scaling their services securely in the cloud and independently driving their operations at a high level, leveraging Cloud Services-based services and platforms. In this position, you will collaborate with top technologists and subject matter experts across various domains, including Cloud Architecture, Cloud Security, Cloud SRE, and Cloud Engineering. Your contributions will be vital in bringing energy, focus, and innovative ideas to support the mission of providing value by seeing the world through clients' eyes. You will analyze and troubleshoot a diverse range of issues across Cloud Infrastructure, working to identify root causes and collaborating with multiple teams to design solutions that permanently resolve persistent issues. Your results-oriented mindset will be essential in delivering effective outcomes related to scaling, standardizing, visualizing, or observing core services. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, will be crucial as you engage with various teams and listen to their needs. Additionally, you will need to be adaptable, working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift, and you will leverage your experience in IT, DevOps, or DevSecOps, as well as your familiarity with Agile release management teams.
