About the position

Rohde & Schwarz is seeking a highly motivated Application Engineer based in Atlanta, GA, to provide solutions to complex problems faced by engineers and scientists in the field of RF and microwave Test and Measurement. This role involves working closely with sales, marketing, and R&D teams to demonstrate products, provide training, and deliver technical support to a diverse customer base. The Application Engineer acts as a consultative solutions provider, often becoming an extension of the customer's internal technical teams, making it an ideal position for RF engineers looking for challenges and opportunities for impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for RF and microwave Test and Measurement instruments.
• Offer pre/post-sales support, including customer demonstrations.
• Support and consult on customer test plan implementation and development.
• Develop and present local seminars and customer training sessions.
• Contribute to the creation of white papers, application notes, and professional articles.
• Provide technical feedback to product developers.

Requirements

• B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• 5 years' + experience in RF or Microwave test/design.
• Experience working with test and measurement equipment including Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Vector Network Analyzers.
• Experience in the test and evaluation of advanced RF and microwave systems.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer interface skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Must have US citizenship or permanent work authorization.
