About the position

The Inside Sales Engineer is responsible for providing sales and process support, including design engineering, preparation of product specifications, estimation, and bid proposals for manufacturer representatives and regional managers. This role requires maintaining regular contact with stakeholders, developing process designs, and ensuring accurate proposal submissions while understanding water/wastewater treatment principles and the Parkson product range.

Responsibilities

• Provide inside sales and process support for assigned areas.
• Prepare product or system specifications and estimation for bids.
• Develop and maintain relationships with sub-suppliers for system proposals.
• Communicate with Regional Sales Managers, Technical Sales Managers, and customers.
• Lead proposal activities and engage product leads as necessary.
• Maintain the Master Project File and SalesForce.com project database.
• Ensure designs conform to contract specifications and drawings.
• Respond to inquiries in a timely manner and communicate timelines to customers.
• Support the development of a sales toolbox for the product portfolio.
• Write up orders and resolve conflicts between proposals and purchase orders.
• Seek vendor quotes to build competitive project budgets.
• Serve as a technical process expert and provide post-sale support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Biological Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of application or process engineering design experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe.
• Experience with Baan and ISO9001 requirements is desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and drawings.
