As a Tech Support Engineer at Baker Hughes, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with teams to solve complex problems and provide high-quality service to our customers. You will work closely with the assigned Service Delivery Coordinator or Salesman to understand the client's well construction or production objectives, as well as the commercial terms for Baker Hughes, which may include outcome-based contracts or line item contracts. Your responsibilities will include performing offset well and similar job analyses to understand application hazards and incident potential, as well as designing job programs that include risk mitigation and contingency plans to meet client objectives while maximizing revenue potential and future job assignments for Baker Hughes. In this role, you will also provide on-demand support in accordance with the product portfolio or on-call schedule for job execution. You will be involved in addressing field incidents related to products and services, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible support and solutions. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our customers. To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least four years of experience in services. You should have a minimum of three years of experience in technical support, with knowledge in downhole completions design and equipment for offshore environments, both operational and technical. A thorough understanding of P/L and technical job planning requirements is essential, along with the ability to be on call outside of normal business hours and travel to rig sites, customer facilities, and meetings as needed.
