About the position

The Application Engineer I/II/Sr role at Greenheck Group involves designing HVAC equipment tailored to customer specifications while ensuring compliance with performance standards. This position requires collaboration with the sales team to provide technical support and documentation throughout the sales process, as well as managing multiple projects effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Design HVAC equipment according to customer requirements and performance specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Innovent sales team to understand project requirements and provide design details and pricing.
  • Create submittal documentation to ensure compliance with design standards and customer performance characteristics.
  • Develop unit bills of material to support production, including detailed component selections and material definitions.
  • Provide technical support to operations throughout the production cycle.
  • Read and interpret equipment specifications and building plans to identify compliance requirements.
  • Arrange components using AutoCAD and vendor software based on duct layout and unit function.
  • Provide internal technical consultation to sales, marketing, service, and procurement teams.
  • Select components that meet performance, cost, and fit specifications.
  • Manage multiple projects to meet predetermined completion dates.
  • Create and maintain technical documents, including product specifications and detailed unit drawings.
  • Maintain close contact with the shop floor to address issues and implement improvements.
  • Make recommendations for cost savings and product quality improvements.
  • Participate in value engineering or process improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline preferred.
  • 4+ years of work experience in a related Engineering discipline.
  • Engineering internship experience preferred.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exhibit a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and SAP is a plus.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
