About the position

As an Application Engineer II in Data Management at Ansys, you will play a crucial role in the Customer Excellence team, where your primary focus will be to partner with customers to address their engineering challenges and enhance their design workflows using Ansys software. You will be responsible for providing technical pre-sales support, conducting product demonstrations, and translating customer requirements into actionable insights that can lead to the development of new product features. Your expertise will not only help customers understand the value of Ansys products but also ensure that they are effectively integrated into their engineering processes. In this role, you will engage with customers throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle, from technical discovery to product evaluations. You will lead and assist in coordinating technical activities, ensuring that customers receive comprehensive support tailored to their specific needs. Your ability to analyze customer workflows and articulate the benefits of Ansys solutions will be key to driving customer satisfaction and business growth. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with product development teams to relay customer feedback and contribute to the continuous improvement of Ansys products. You will also have the opportunity to lead consulting services and conduct training sessions, ranging from introductory to advanced levels, to ramp up partners on product knowledge and service capabilities. Responsibilities

  • Lead/Assist in coordinating and executing all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle such as technical discovery, product presentations, demonstrations and evaluations.
  • Interact with customers to understand their product design needs and engineering design workflows; analyze how to address customers' requirements using Ansys products and platform.
  • Articulate Ansys' value proposition to customers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Ansys product development teams to translate customer requirements into exciting new product features.
  • Test new releases of Ansys products on industrial problems to ensure they meet customer needs.
  • Support Ansys field and digital marketing initiatives to promote product offerings.
  • Lead consulting services and conduct introductory to advanced training classes for customers and partners.
  • Ramp-up Partners on product knowledge and service capabilities.

Requirements

  • Advanced engineering knowledge in mechanical engineering or related fields.
  • Experience with Ansys products and simulation software.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and articulate technical concepts.
  • Ability to analyze customer workflows and provide tailored solutions using Ansys software.
  • Experience in conducting training sessions and technical presentations.
