About the position

The Application Engineer II role focuses on SAP Business Intelligence and Analytics at Google. This position involves leading web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, ongoing support, and maintenance for both in-house and customer-facing web applications. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to scale Google's financial data on the Google Cloud Platform, processing billions of records per hour to support critical financial operations and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of web development for SAP business intelligence projects.
• Gather requirements and design solutions for SAP applications.
• Develop, test, document, and implement software solutions.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for web applications.
• Scale financial data processing on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Design and develop ETL solutions and complex data pipelines using SAP tools.
• Participate in the lifecycle of SAP business intelligence projects.
• Plan and deliver investigative reporting systems using SAP technologies.
• Work with third-party vendor products teams to resolve issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working with Python.
• Experience using Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP).
• Able to have SAP and Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in designing and developing robust ETL solutions using SAP Data Services, Smart Data Integration (SDI), and Smart Data Access (SDA).
• Experience with data volume replication and real-time analytics using SAP Operational Data Provisioning (ODP), SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server (SLT), and SAP Business Warehouse (BW).
