About the position

As an Application Engineer III at Turck, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert technical support for our innovative industrial automation products and solutions. You will be responsible for developing tailored solutions to address specific customer challenges, selecting Turck equivalents for competitor parts, and assisting in the commissioning and troubleshooting of our products. Your ability to conduct feasibility tests and research for challenging applications will be essential in ensuring that our solutions are effective and reliable. Additionally, you will create technical documentation and provide training to both internal and external stakeholders, enhancing their understanding of our products and solutions. Handling complex cases that require extensive product knowledge and excellent communication skills will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical assistance via phone, email, and other communication channels
  • Develop solutions to solve customer problems and achieve desired outcomes
  • Select Turck equivalents for competitor parts and systems
  • Assist in commissioning and troubleshooting Turck products
  • Conduct feasibility tests and research for challenging applications
  • Create technical documentation and provide training to internal and external stakeholders
  • Handle complex cases requiring extensive product knowledge and excellent communication skills

Requirements

  • 4-year technical college degree with at least 4 years of related experience, OR 2-year technical degree with at least 6 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or industrial work
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle technical issues over the phone
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in technical writing (preferred)
  • Eagerness to continuously learn and master Turck products and solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
