About the position

Alaska Roteq, an Impel Company, is seeking a full-time Inside Sales Representative for its fast-growing industrial repair and supply company based in Wasilla, AK. The company specializes in various areas of industrial supply and repair, with a particular focus on pumps, compressors, and valves. The Inside Sales Representative will play a crucial role in supporting the Distribution Group by providing sales assistance and broad support for outside sales professionals, team members, customers, and vendors from the initial inquiry through to order completion. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who can effectively apply industry knowledge to contribute to the company's ongoing growth. In this challenging and dynamic environment, the successful candidate will enjoy a variety of tasks and will be highly motivated and organized, with a strong desire to deliver excellent customer service. The role involves working closely with outside sales staff and team members to process inquiries regarding product availability, pricing, order status, and any concerns that may arise. The Inside Sales Representative will also be responsible for processing sales quotes and orders, expediting requests, and maintaining communication with customers, sales staff, and vendors regarding order status and delivery. Additionally, the representative will assist in resolving any issues that may arise post-sale and provide after-sale service care as needed. The role will also involve supporting purchasing, shipping, and logistics of consumables and repairs, as well as assisting team members with both computerized and physical inventory management. Administrative duties will include drafting and proofreading correspondence using Microsoft Office products, answering and processing phone calls, maintaining files, and providing project support as required. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Work with outside sales staff and team members to process inquiries for product availability, pricing, order status and concerns.
  • Process sales quotes, sales orders, and expedite requests.
  • Provide communication with customers, sales staff and vendors on order status and delivery.
  • Work with sales staff, customers and vendors regarding unresolved issues and provide after sale service care as needed.
  • Support purchasing, shipping and logistics of consumables and repairs as required.
  • Assist team members with computerized and physical inventory management.
  • Perform administrative duties including drafting and proofreading correspondence, answering and processing phone calls, and maintaining files.
  • Provide project support as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of work experience in a similar position (manufacturing, construction or distribution environments a plus).
  • Strong computer skills including use of the Microsoft Office suite and the ability to learn new applications are imperative.
  • A sales mentality and customer service background are essential.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize workload and meet goals with a sense of urgency.
  • Qualified candidates should be self-motivated, self-directed and have the ability to work independently.
  • Very strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Possess good organizational skills and have a good mechanical aptitude.
  • Be detail oriented and methodical.
  • Have a personal commitment to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • High School diploma or GED required.

Nice-to-haves
