About the position

The Application Engineer Level 4 at Applied Insight plays a crucial role in enhancing the capabilities of federal government customers through advanced technologies and quality analysis. This position involves working on innovative products and applications that are deployed in sensitive environments, contributing to national security and public service missions. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and collaboration within a supportive team environment, focusing on solving real-world problems.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage a Docker Swarm or Kubernetes cluster.
• Utilize Ansible scripting and Linux command line.
• Instrument monitoring dashboards like Grafana or Rancher.
• Work with Git and GitLab CI/CD.
• Use Jira and Confluence for project management.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph Clearance.
• Twelve (12) years minimum experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
• Ten (10) years minimum experience with an Associate's Degree.
• Eight (8) years minimum experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
• Six (6) years minimum experience with a Master's Degree.
• Four (4) years minimum experience with a Doctorate's Degree.

Nice-to-haves

• AWS certification or other cloud certification.
• Familiarity with Spark, Elasticsearch, Kibana, MySQL, Node.js.
• Experience with system patching and IAVA compliance.
• Software development experience with Scala, Java, Angular, or Node.js.
• Experience in an Agile and Scrum environment.
