WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for an Application Engineer (MV Automation) to join our team in Duluth, GA. This role serves as the primary technical and commercial resource for the field sales team and customer base for MV Automation products. The Application Engineer will be responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, ensuring that reliable and optimized solutions are provided to assure complete customer satisfaction throughout all stages of the sales and order processes. In this position, the Application Engineer must establish and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external customers throughout the sales cycle. This includes maintaining an expert level of product and application knowledge of medium voltage variable frequency drives (VFDs) and soft starters. The engineer will articulate product offerings, positioning, and capabilities to both business and technical users, ensuring clarity and understanding of the products being offered. The role also involves reviewing and clarifying requests for quotations, identifying project/customer details vital for determining quotation strategies, and leading the quotation/opportunity process by aligning customer needs with WEG's product offerings. The Application Engineer will proactively seek opportunities for optimized, cost-saving solutions, generate and present proposals to customers, and actively participate in the order entry process. This includes reviewing customer purchase orders, generating order entry materials, and participating in both internal and customer kickoff meetings. Additionally, the Application Engineer will assist project managers with technical clarifications, drawing reviews, and participate in customer meetings as required. Resolving customer issues in a manner consistent with the company’s mission, values, and financial objectives is also a key responsibility of this role. Other duties and tasks may be assigned as necessary.
