About the position

Cadence Design Systems is seeking new STEM bachelor's graduates to join our World Field Organization's (WFO) Rotational Program. This program is designed for individuals who have experience using electronic design automation (EDA) tools and are eager to contribute to the field of silicon design and design automation. As a member of the WFO, you will work with top-tier EDA tools, collaborate with technical experts, and support the sales team in a dynamic and innovative environment. This customer-facing role involves providing front-line design services, technical sales, and customer support to Cadence's most advanced customers. The position is ideal for recent graduates who possess a strong desire to learn and engage with the electronic technologies of tomorrow. The full-time regular entry-level position begins with a cohort-based, one-year program that includes new college graduates from across North America. This program consists of two six-month rotations, providing detailed, hands-on training in applications used for Digital Design/Simulation, Physical Design, Analog Layout, Advanced Verification, or Hardware Emulation. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from technical experts, sales, and application engineers who deliver design services and customer support to Cadence's advanced clientele. Upon successful completion of the cohort program, individuals will be assigned full-time responsibilities in a WFO business group based on their interests and the company's needs. The program will cover various areas, including fundamentals in design, verification, hardware description languages (HDLs), synthesis, and timing. Participants will also gain experience in embedded software development, hardware/software co-design, and co-verification, as well as UNIX, C/C++, and scripting languages such as Perl, TCL, and Python. Additional training will include digital physical design and implementation, sign-off for timing, IR drop, power analysis, and signal integrity analysis, along with custom and analog design. The program also offers networking opportunities and participation in community activities for recent college graduates at Cadence.
