About the position

The Application Engineer position at Voith Turbo is part of the Regional Graduate Program, designed for entry-level candidates. This role focuses on providing technical sales support for mechanical variable speed drives used in various industries, including Power Generation and Oil & Gas. The position involves a 10-month rotational training program that exposes candidates to different aspects of the business, including manufacturing, application development, and field sales/service. The goal is to identify the best fit for both the company and the individual while developing essential skills in customer interaction and technical support.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical sales support and product selection for mechanical variable speed drives.
• Assist in product pricing and quotation support.
• Participate in a 10-month rotational training program across various business aspects.
• Work directly with local specialists to learn manufacturing, service, and repair processes.
• Troubleshoot products in operation and assist in product optimization.
• Develop selling skills and build customer relations.
• Process and manage customer account projects.
• Engage in communication with counterparts in Europe, Mexico, and Canada.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or science is preferred but not required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction and internal cooperation.
• Sales and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment around rotating machinery.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
