About the position

Seco Tools is seeking an Application Engineer in the Seattle area, who will play a crucial role in collaborating with the North American Sales Team and Product Marketing Organizations. The ideal candidate will support field sales and customers by providing training, technical knowledge, process documentation, troubleshooting, and productivity enhancements necessary to secure sales. This position is integral to ensuring that Seco Tools' products and services are effectively utilized in various market segments, including Medical, Automotive, Aerospace, and General Engineering. As an Application Engineer, you will maintain an expert level of knowledge about Seco Tools' products and their applications. You will assist in driving sales growth initiatives, coordinate and document tool testing, and create tool assembly drawings using 2D and 3D software. Additionally, you will prepare and deliver cost-saving ideas to customers through thorough documentation and analysis of their existing operations. Your role will also involve creating and delivering presentations on new products, proven solutions, and training topics, while developing and maintaining relationships with key customers. In terms of project management, you will initiate, plan, communicate, and execute the coordination of internal resources between Sales, Engineering, Custom Tooling, and Component Engineering teams to meet customer expectations. Utilizing CRM software, you will document and drive activities to ensure effective communication and project execution. Furthermore, you will provide detailed market feedback to the Product Offering and Innovation organization regarding customer needs and competitive actions, participate in the R&D process to develop new product concepts, and support the development of new part processing techniques and tooling concepts within the focus market segments.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Strong project management experience.
  • Experience in the manufacturing of Aerospace components.
  • Proven work ethic and commitment to achieving customer expectations.
  • Demonstrates good oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Willing and able to travel 30-50%.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in CAD/CAM and CNC programming.
  • Degree in marketing, sales, engineering, or related field.
