About the position

The Application Engineer position at Emerson involves overseeing and managing projects related to feeding systems. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer expectations. The successful candidate will be responsible for project management from conception to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive proposals through analysis and collaboration with sales representatives and engineers.
  • Formulate innovative technical solutions tailored to client requirements.
  • Calculate feeding solutions and prepare polished offers for presentation.
  • Assume end-to-end project responsibility, managing timelines, costs, and quality standards.
  • Facilitate internal escalation processes and coordinate project-related meetings.
  • Conduct joint customer visits and provide technical support during inquiries and concept phases.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for operational inquiries, offering prompt assistance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics-Precision Engineering, or two to three years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in project management with a solid grasp of project controlling.
  • Demonstrated competence in cross-functional collaboration with design, assembly, manufacturing, and Quality Management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with effective negotiation skills.
  • Experience in customer relations and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and dynamic work environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Key Account Leadership skills within the automation customer base.
  • Experience in the automation/machine building sector.
  • Familiarity with CAD-CAM software.
  • Experience in feeding technology is a plus.
  • Proficiency in additional languages for effective global communication.
