About the position

The Application Engineer at Emerson is responsible for overseeing and managing projects related to feeding systems. This role involves coordinating projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide high-quality feeding solutions that meet customer expectations, while also supporting sales efforts and providing technical assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive proposals through analysis and collaboration with sales representatives and engineers.
  • Formulate innovative technical solutions tailored to client requirements.
  • Calculate feeding solutions with all add-ons and prepare polished offers.
  • Manage end-to-end project responsibilities, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Facilitate internal escalation processes for project challenges and coordinate project-related meetings.
  • Conduct joint customer visits and provide technical support during inquiry phases.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for operational inquiries, offering prompt assistance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics-Precision Engineering, or 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in project management with a solid grasp of project controlling.
  • Demonstrated competence in cross-functional collaboration with design, assembly, manufacturing, and Quality Management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in delivering presentations and effective negotiation skills.
  • Experience in customer relations, ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and dynamic work environments.
  • Proficient in standard office applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Key Account Leadership skills within the automation customer base.
  • Experience in the automation/machine building sector.
  • Experience with CAD-CAM software.
  • Experience in feeding technology is a plus.
  • Ability to build and present presentations effectively.
  • Proficient in English, with additional language skills preferred.
