About the position

The Application Engineer at Dakota Digital plays a crucial role in supporting customers with the installation and calibration of electronic gauge clusters and accessories. This position involves direct communication with customers, providing assistance over the phone and via email, and ensuring a positive customer experience. The role is integral to maintaining Dakota Digital's reputation as an industry leader in the automotive and motorcycle aftermarket sector.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with the installation and calibration of electronic gauge clusters and accessories over the phone and via email.
• Answer customer inquiries regarding relay wiring, setup, calibrations, and verifying correct signals.
• Issue RMA numbers for returns and troubleshoot and repair returns from the field.
• Maintain a positive attitude while interacting with customers throughout the day.

Requirements

• Strong analytical thinking skills.
• Understanding of 12V electrical systems is preferred.
• Automotive or motorcycle background is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in customer support or technical assistance roles.
• Familiarity with automotive electronics.
