About the position

The Technical Application Engineer plays a crucial role in providing application solutions, technical support, and drawings for valve actuators, focusing on fluid power and associated controls. This position collaborates closely with Inside Sales and Contracts for Key Accounts, ensuring accurate bill of materials and offering mentorship to Production Technicians. Training is a key aspect of this role, aimed at minimizing support needs across departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide application solutions and technical support for valve actuators.
• Collaborate with Inside Sales on complex quotes and oversee Contracts and Engineering.
• Ensure accuracy of the bill of materials in AX for each order.
• Act as a mentor and support resource for Production Technicians and RSS in assembling and troubleshooting RFS applications.
• Deliver training to various departments to reduce support needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in application engineering or inside sales.
• Experience with CAD software, preferably Solid Edge.
• Knowledge of pneumatics/hydraulics applications engineering/controls is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and able to learn business software quickly.
• Ability to read and interpret customer specifications, data sheets, drawings, and schematics.
