About the position

As an Applications Engineer at Actalent, you will be responsible for managing and interpreting project Requests for Quotation (RFQs), ensuring compliance with industry standards, and streamlining engineering and production processes. This role involves preparing project pricing, developing detailed Deal Proposals, and assisting Sales Managers in technical presentations to clients. You will also maintain documentation as per the Quality Management System and provide support to other departments throughout project completion.

Responsibilities

• Manage and interpret project Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
• Review specifications and drawings to determine necessary materials and labor hours.
• Prepare project pricing using the Epicor quoting tool.
• Develop detailed Deal Proposals for client presentations.
• Create necessary electrical drawings and documentation.
• Assist Sales Managers in presenting technical aspects to customers.
• Maintain all required documentation as per Quality Management System.
• Monitor projects to completion and provide support to other departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical engineering preferred).
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory and power generation components.
• Experience with OSHA, NEC, UL508, UL891, and UL1558 standards.
• Experience in power generation and industrial control systems.
