About the position

Seeking an Application engineer to work with the Renesas Memory Interface Validation and Apps team on state-of-the-art products such as RCD and data buffers. Support product development life cycle from conception to production release. This involves interfacing with multiple functional teams including Design Engineering, Test Engineering, Quality Assurance, and other engineering groups. Develop and execute Validation and Characterization test plans and specifications. Design and debug hardware and software for lab validation and qualification purposes. Perform system level testing to measure various device parameters in the lab for design verification, characterization, correlation, and debugging. Analyze measurement results and correlate the measurements between ATE and bench. Write/modify bios code for server board.

Responsibilities

  • Support product development life cycle from conception to production release.
  • Interface with multiple functional teams including Design Engineering, Test Engineering, Quality Assurance, and other engineering groups.
  • Develop and execute Validation and Characterization test plans and specifications.
  • Design and debug hardware and software for lab validation and qualification purposes.
  • Perform system level testing to measure various device parameters in the lab for design verification, characterization, correlation, and debugging.
  • Analyze measurement results and correlate the measurements between ATE and bench.
  • Write/modify bios code for server board.

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable in post-Silicon validation, debug, and applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Computer Architecture.
  • Deep understanding in Silicon electrical characterization, particularly in high-speed signal measurement, analysis, and debug.
  • Skilled in the use of lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, pattern generators, ATE, Logic Analyzers.
  • Skilled in test automation development using Python.
  • Familiarity with DIMM RCD, Data Buffer and I2C and I3C devices is a plus.
  • Project management skills desired.
  • Familiar with computer system architecture, especially for Intel x86 server system.
  • Strong experience in Ansi-C programming is preferred.
