About the position

As an Application Engineer, you will be an integral part of our client's team, leveraging your technical expertise and exceptional interpersonal skills to deliver high-end electronic test and measurement equipment to a diverse global customer base. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about technology and customer service. You will be responsible for providing technical assistance to customers, guiding them through equipment selection, rental options, and financial solutions tailored to their needs. Your ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships will be key to your success in this position. In this role, you will prepare quotes and negotiate pricing in accordance with company policies, ensuring that all customer inquiries are addressed promptly and accurately. You will maintain an accurate sales pipeline using the company's software, which will help you track your progress and manage your customer interactions efficiently. Additionally, you will be expected to offer insights on competition and identify potential new markets, contributing to the overall growth and success of the company. Your responsibilities will also include developing and maintaining strong client relationships, both internally with team members and externally with customers. This will require a keen attention to detail and a strong internal drive to meet and exceed customer expectations. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of electronic test and measurement equipment, as well as the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance for customer inquiries related to equipment selection, rental, and financial solutions
  • Prepare quotes and negotiate pricing in line with company policies, ensuring timely follow-up
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline using company software
  • Offer insights on competition and potential new markets
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, both internal and external

Requirements

  • 3+ years of inside sales experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Technical work experience in electronic test and measurement equipment or related electronics/telecommunications
  • General knowledge of rental/lease and financial practices
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Specific experience with electronic test and measurement equipment (preferred)
  • Strong internal drive and sense of urgency
  • Effective team player with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using sales pipeline software and databases (preferred)
