Application Engineer

About the position

The Application Sales Engineer will play a key role in supporting product development and commercial strategy by providing in-depth technical knowledge and market insight. This role is responsible for preparing competitive proposals, conducting product gap analyses, and contributing to multi-year product planning. As a subject matter expert, you will engage directly with customers to deliver technical solutions and commercial support. This position offers a clear pathway to product management, making it ideal for individuals looking to grow into strategic leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• In depth understand and able to communicate application and usage of technology
• Generate technical and commercial proposals for new and existing solutions
• Support Customer and Sales technical questions with general product knowledge of assigned APCD products
• Triage customer problems for appropriate actions
• Develop relationships with Amphenol Sales & Distribution partners through training & visits
• Maintain & enhance sales collateral as well as product development pipeline

Requirements

• Strong technical aptitude and / or engineering degree
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across all levels of the organization
• Exceptional organization skills with strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management, sense of urgency and follow-through skills

• Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a faced paced, high-pressure and results-oriented environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• 1+ years of experience required
• BSME, or equivalent work experience
