About the position

As an Application Engineer at Crescent Electric, you will provide engineering and technical support, along with training on automation and control products to both internal and external customers. This role involves collaborating with account managers to achieve sales goals in the automation and control sector, while also developing and presenting solutions to enhance customer awareness and product capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Co-develop and implement the strategic business plan with Suppliers and CESCO management to support market share growth objectives.
• Develop and present Automation and Control solutions through training activities, customer seminars, and local promotions.
• Launch new Automation and Control products to sales personnel, including product training and competency with demo equipment.
• Perform billable service work for assigned customer territory, including VFD startups, tuning servo control loops, HMI screen development, and PLC programming.
• Complete Action selling training curriculum as a core Crescent concept for professional sales efforts.
• Utilize the CRM platform to enter opportunities and activities associated with customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or technical degree in engineering from a four-year college or university, and/or 5 or more years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel often in the assigned territory and occasionally for company, customer, and supplier events.
• In-depth knowledge of Automation and Control products including VFDs, PLCs, Motion Control, SCADA Software, HMI, Networking, Sensors, Motion, Robotics, and Motor Control.
