About the position

The Application Engineer will be responsible for a comprehensive range of application engineering duties that are critical to the successful operation and performance of CNC machine tools. This role involves not only programming but also conducting time studies, demonstrations, set-ups, and training for both turning and milling CNC machine tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining and will be adept at communicating complex technical information effectively to various stakeholders. Experience with Swiss turning is considered a valuable asset, enhancing the candidate's qualifications for this position. The Application Engineer will work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure that all applications are optimized for efficiency and productivity, contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Perform programming for CNC machine tools including turning and milling operations.
• Conduct time studies to evaluate and improve machining processes.
• Demonstrate machine capabilities and applications to clients and internal teams.
• Set up CNC machines for production runs, ensuring all specifications are met.
• Provide training to operators and staff on machine operation and programming techniques.

Requirements

• Experience as a CNC machine tool application engineer or manufacturing engineer.
• Strong programming experience with all types of machining.
• Background in a machine shop environment is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical information effectively.
