About the position

Adecco and our Client are looking to fill a direct hire role for their team as an Application Engineer. This position is based in Alpharetta, Georgia, and involves working in an office environment with travel throughout North America. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in drafting manufacturing equipment and systems within industrial plants, with a preference for those who have experience in Material Handling. A degree in drafting, mechanical technology/engineering, or a related field is required, although additional work experience may substitute for advanced degrees. The role requires a very strong knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD drawing programs, specifically AutoCAD and Inventor, along with skills in sizing calculation and FEM analysis being a plus. Certifications in AutoCAD and Inventor are also advantageous. The Application Engineer will be responsible for providing customer layouts of Magaldi equipment and integrating this equipment within plant drawings. This includes detailing drawings, layouts, and bills of materials, as well as completing mechanical designs following technical specifications and international standards. The role also involves managing relationships across functions and entities to define new solutions, preparing technical reports, and supporting commercial offices in identifying technical solutions. Field measurements will be a critical part of the job, guiding solutions in coordination with the Italian Engineering team, and assisting in completing engineering orders for potential projects. The candidate will also be expected to write and proofread technical documentation as required. The position requires a collaborative team player who is self-motivated, creative, and professional, with a positive attitude. The role involves an average travel expectation of approximately 20-30% to industrial customer sites after extensive training in Italy. Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of Spanish or Italian is considered a plus. The compensation for this full-time position is competitive and will depend on experience, with additional benefits including medical coverage, a 401k match, and a company mobile phone and tools.
