About the position

The Application Engineer at HCA Healthcare is responsible for developing and administering Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting Solutions, providing technical guidance, and supporting the ongoing growth of these solutions. This role involves maintaining a stable IT infrastructure, developing BI reporting architecture, and ensuring high levels of availability and security for BI tools used across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BI Reporting architecture, reports, dashboards, and other BI solutions.
• Provide technical guidance in the design and maintenance of BI reporting solutions.
• Create a stable IT infrastructure by maintaining a consistent release policy and executing release upgrades.
• Identify, report, and resolve bugs and deficiencies in BI tools with vendor assistance.
• Set and achieve SLAs that deliver high levels of availability, reliability, and security.
• Provide leadership and assistance in administration, development, and maintenance of security provisioning for BI solutions.
• Assist in creating product roadmaps for BI solutions.
• Engage in joint-development with various application development teams and provide second-level support to Customer Service.
• Document and communicate standards and procedures for BI solutions.
• Develop and maintain .Net and Java applications to support the infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 1 or more years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
• Experience with Business Intelligence Software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and analytical skills.

• Experience working in a Windows environment.
• Ability to work on-call support on a rotation.
