About The Position
As an Application Engineer at Actalent, you will play a crucial role in engaging with Sales and Business Unit teams to provide both pre-sale and post-sales technical support across all product lines, with a primary focus on Power Distribution, Power Generation, and Motion Control. This position requires a deep understanding of customer requirements and active participation in new product definition, ensuring that the products developed meet market needs and expectations. You will support New Product Development from the design phase through to mass production, which involves developing application expertise in target markets and evaluating the technical aspects of competitors' products to formulate effective strategies against competitive challenges. In this role, you will also be responsible for providing technical training on new products and technologies to both customers and sales personnel, serving as a vital technical liaison between customers, product managers, and manufacturing teams. This position will require you to learn new technologies to support the technical requirements of new products, and you will become a subject matter expert in Power Distribution, Power Generation, and Motor Control products. Additionally, you will develop and maintain product documentation, including data briefs, data sheets, white papers, and application notes, while also addressing technical questions and resolving objections in a timely manner. Your ability to systematically funnel customer data to business unit teams and marketing will be essential for inclusion in product roadmaps, ensuring that the company remains competitive and responsive to market demands.
