About the position

The Application Engineer at Tenneco will be responsible for the engineering design, development, and release of shock absorber, strut, and suspension module products for original equipment (OE) automotive customers. This role involves coordinating and managing engineering activities, including CAD design work, validation testing, and manufacturing support, to ensure successful product launches. The engineer will also serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding technical engineering topics related to launch projects and post-launch activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage engineering design and development activities for shock absorber and suspension products.
• Conduct CAD design work for product development.
• Perform validation testing to ensure product quality and performance.
• Support manufacturing activities to facilitate successful product launches.
• Act as the direct point of contact for customers on technical engineering topics related to projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in automotive engineering design and development.
• Proficiency in CAD software for product design.
• Strong understanding of validation testing processes.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction.
