About the position

The Application Engineer at Greenheck is responsible for providing technical application support, quoting special product designs, and presenting application training programs for both internal and external customers. This role requires a basic understanding of the rep network and sales channels, and it plays a crucial part in ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

• Aid product support team on technical support via phone and e-mail for both internal and external salespeople in the areas of product selection and application.
• Develop and communicate solutions for basic product applications under direct supervision.
• Gather information and provide resolution to complex field problems, which may include travel for onsite support.
• Understand and interpret industry codes and standards to determine product needs and requirements.
• Assist with highlighting and communicating key selling points of current products for delivery to sales teams and customers.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and work to implement where applicable.
• Become familiar with competitor's products and apply this knowledge to the company's advantage.
• Organize and present trainings to internal and external customers both onsite and offsite.
• May assist with offsite events including planning, set-up, and basic customer interactions.
• Develop awareness of industry-related associations and their purpose.
• May provide mentoring, training, indirect supervision of other team members, or may have direct reports.
• Manage basic individual projects in accordance with predetermined completion dates.
• Document service calls to record data on product questions and field issues.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of relevant work experience in engineering.
• 4 Year / bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
