About the position

The Infrastructure Engineer role at Bank of America within the Global Information Security (GIS) team focuses on providing operational deployment and support for commercial and custom software applications. This individual contributor position requires expertise in Microsoft and RHEL environments, emphasizing hands-on technical knowledge to manage and enhance applications while collaborating with senior leadership and key stakeholders on high-visibility security initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, engineer, implement, and support information security technologies.
• Utilize APIs for bulk updates to assist customers with configuration resets and project release flags.
• Perform Windows and RedHat support, manage vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with regulatory license checks.
• Engage in operations and engineering tasks related to application support on specified platforms.
• Conduct data analysis and script solutions using SQL or MSSQL.

Requirements

• Experience in scripting/automation using Python or PowerShell.
• Experience with database setup and configuration of PostgreSQL.
• Proficient in Windows and RHEL server support and access systems.
• Experience with SQL or MSSQL for data analysis and scripting solutions.
• Understanding of complex environments and their sub-components.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Ansible for automation.
• Container development experience with Open Shift.
• Familiarity with .NET programming and application security.
