About the position

The Product Development Engineer will support research and development (R&D) projects through collaboration with R&D colleagues and commercial team members. This role involves conducting experiments, analyzing data, and presenting findings in both written and oral formats. The engineer will also engage with external customers and suppliers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Write and attend RDT's with supervision (e.g., Raw Material Substitution Trials)
• Compile data and draw conclusions
• Perform basic lab testing (Peels, Loop Tacks, Release, etc.)
• Submit analytical requests and interpret results to sales
• Build rapport with sales, marketing, and key customers
• Travel with supervision to customers
• Answer basic technical questions such as information typically found in performance guides or in specs

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree required (Chemical Engineering preferred)
• 0-2 years of experience in research and development
• Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office
• ERP experience preferred
• Intermediate problem solving and analytical skills
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required
