Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain software solutions for case management and records management applications, focusing on configuring/customizing COTS and handling large numbers of integrations with external systems.
- Optimize software for performance and scalability, ensuring efficient processing of large-scale data feeds.
- Configure, integrate, and administer tools to support client workflows, case management, records management, and data management.
- Work on the development and deployment of APIs and microservices for data pipelines that feed those tools.
- Develop and configure data integrations with remote systems using REST calls, data feeds, and other mechanisms to ensure scalable and secure data storage and management.
- Utilize DevOps tools and techniques to build integrations with external systems, including social media platforms, collaboration systems, and web scraping tools.
- Enhance the client's data management and analytic capabilities by configuring AWS GovCloud SaaS offerings.
- Collaborate with software architects, data scientists and ML engineers to integrate machine learning models and other analytical tools into production software systems.
- Stay current with advancements in machine learning and software engineering, incorporating best practices into the development process.
- Apply design thinking or other solution-based methods to solve problems consisting of various qualitative activities that support the generation of insightful, human-centered and impactful design solutions.
- Perform knowledge elicitation from client of business problem details and incorporate that knowledge into algorithms, models, and approaches in client solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Seven (7) or more years (5 of experience in software development, systems integration, data management, or related fields.
- Experience with configuring and developing in a major public cloud system such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience in programming and/or scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, C++, or Java.
- Experience with software development frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Flask, Docker).
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with DevOps tools and techniques for building integrations with external systems including Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Example tools include Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation Templates.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with social media platforms, collaboration systems, and web scraping tools.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, One Drive, and other enterprise data repositories.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Prior experience in a government or defense contracting environment.
