About the position
The Application Processor role at Marten Transport, Ltd. involves working closely with Driver Recruiters to process driver applications. The primary purpose of this position is to verify the information provided by applicants and ensure compliance with the company's hiring criteria.
Responsibilities
- Screen application information against current company hiring criteria.
- Enter incoming applications to Marten Transport, Ltd. recruiting programs.
- Run DAC's and MVR's on qualified applicants.
- Investigate driver history stated on the application.
- Establish professional relationships with verification agents from other companies to obtain verifications in a timely manner.
- Track, coordinate and report results of assigned work.
- Eliminate questionable driver applications based on information received as directed by recruiter.
- Serve as back-up to recruiter to answer questions of applicants regarding status of application process.
- Coordinate follow-up on application until cleared with recruiter.
- File and update applications accurately and consistently.
- Complete a minimum of 20 applications a week.
Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate.
- High school education.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, and U.S. Geography.
