About the position
The Application Product Specialist is responsible for optimizing machine functionality and providing support for crop care equipment. This role involves delivering training to machine operators and dealership departments, ensuring effective use of application equipment, and assisting with equipment start-ups and calibrations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all new and used application equipment start-ups.
- Calibrate equipment such as dry spreaders.
- Work with Ag Sales staff on new and used application equipment demonstrations and start-ups.
- Aid Integrated Solutions (AMS) staff with installation of rate controllers on application equipment as needed.
- Support the ExpertConnect phone line with other members of the Application team.
- Participate in all application equipment training (internal & external).
- Provide guidance/assistance to Technicians and other service personnel with repairs when needed.
- Perform software updates on application equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree within an Agricultural discipline strongly preferred.
- 3+ years in a customer-focused role within the equipment industry required.
- Previous knowledge and operating experience of application equipment required.
- Understanding of John Deere machine and agronomic data platforms.
- Knowledge of agriculture equipment required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good driving record with insurability to drive under the company's fleet insurance policy.
