About the position
The Application Programmer V-Hadoop/ETL Production Support role at Innova Solutions involves developing and supporting ETL solutions using Hadoop and related technologies. The position requires strong expertise in big data processing, troubleshooting, and application development, with a focus on ensuring efficient data movement and transformation within the Cloudera Hadoop Ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support ETL solutions using Hadoop, Spark, and Python.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues within the ETL and Cloudera Hadoop Ecosystem.
- Process large amounts of structured and unstructured data using MapReduce.
- Develop applications using Hadoop, Spark, Impala, Hive, and Python.
- Create and maintain Autosys JIL scripts for job scheduling.
- Utilize SQL and relational databases for data extraction applications.
- Implement data movement and transformation technologies.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience developing ETL solutions using tools like Informatica or SSIS.
- 3+ years of experience with Hadoop, Spark, Impala, Hive, and Python.
- Strong working knowledge of ETL, database technologies, and big data processing.
- Experience in troubleshooting the ETL & Cloudera Hadoop Ecosystem.
- Proficient in Unix shell and Perl scripting.
- Experience processing large datasets with MapReduce.
Nice-to-haves
- Good understanding of the end-to-end process of the application.
- Familiarity with upstream processes, database models, and data distribution layers.
