About the position

Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Design and implement ETL processes using SQL, ETL tools, and Linux shell scripting.
  • Conduct data analysis and resolve defects by collaborating with multiple teams.
  • Manage interdependencies and set up test cases to maintain data quality.
  • Ensure software stability through documentation, code reviews, and testing.
  • Lead and develop complex ETL flows connecting to heterogeneous databases.
  • Develop complex Oracle procedures, functions, and packages for database applications.
  • Perform proactive and reactive performance tuning during application development.
  • Support Unix Shell Scripting and understand job scheduling with Autosys.
  • Identify data quality issues through data analysis and profiling.
  • Guide the team in estimating work necessary for delivery lifecycle.
  • Contribute to story refinement and define requirements.
  • Perform proof of concept to mitigate risks or implement new ideas.
  • Code solutions and unit test to meet defined acceptance criteria.
  • Utilize multiple architectural components in design and development.
  • Assist the team in resolving technical complexities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience with Informatica or other ETL tools.
  • 6+ years of professional experience with SQL/PLSQL.
  • Strong understanding of Data Federations, Data Lake, and Data Mesh concepts.
  • Experience with job scheduling tools, preferably Autosys.
  • Experience working with large datasets using big data solutions like Hadoop or Spark.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong experience in data warehousing, data architecture, and optimizing advanced SQL queries.
  • Experience with Trino, Starburst, or similar vendor tools.
  • Ability to document and communicate information for deployment and support.
  • Contribute to existing test suites and analyze test reports.
