About the position

Genesis10 is seeking an experienced Application Programmer for a 12+ month contract position in the financial industry, located in Addison, TX and Charlotte, NC. The role involves developing and delivering complex software solutions that meet business goals while ensuring compliance with functional and non-functional requirements. The programmer will work within an Agile framework, focusing on coding, unit testing, and integration of solutions into existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver complex software requirements to accomplish business goals.
• Ensure software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
• Code solutions, perform unit testing, and ensure successful integration into the overall application/system.
• Work with Audit/Regulatory teams to ensure compliance and performance optimizations.
• Implement technical code delivery to higher environments adhering to Agile Application lifecycle management and Continuous integration/delivery tools.
• Collaborate in an Agile process, including pair programming and daily stand-ups.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a job-related field required.
• 10+ years of professional experience developing solutions in Oracle PL/SQL and Hadoop.
• 5-10 years of experience in a Unix environment and Shell scripting.
• Strong experience working with Audit/Regulatory teams.
• Experience with Oracle database and query performance optimizations.
• Experience with data warehousing and OLTP solutions.
• Strong skills in PL/SQL and stored procedures.
• Experience with Oracle 19c and scheduling tools like Autosys.
• Ability to implement technical code delivery using Agile practices and tools like Ansible.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with domain-driven design.
• Experience in distributed systems.
• Relevant industry experience in Compliance, Entity/Transaction Scanning, Anti-money Laundering, etc.
• Experience with Python technologies.
• Familiarity with JIRA.
