About the position

The Application Reader is a part-time, temporary position focused on reviewing undergraduate first-year applications at Arcadia University. The role involves evaluating submitted materials such as high school transcripts, standardized test scores, recommendations, and essays. The position is flexible, allowing for varying hours each week, not exceeding 24 hours, and is expected to run until March or April 2025.

Responsibilities

• Review application materials including essays, recommendations, and transcripts.
• Evaluate standardized test scores (SAT or ACT) if provided.
• Recommend admission decisions and suggest scholarship ratings.
• Enter key data points and decisions into Salesforce, the Admissions CRM.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions Systems and Programs.

Requirements

• Home computer with a secure internet connection.
• Experience in secondary or higher education, preferably in admissions.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with state and federal laws.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
• Experience in a role advising or counseling students in the college search process.
