This position is focused on selling roll covers and bowed rolls to the industrial and/or paper manufacturing market, reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager. The primary goal is to optimize the operating efficiencies of customers' equipment by utilizing proprietary modeling software programs. In this role, you will ensure trouble-free runs of roll covers and bowed rolls through the proper selection of products to meet application needs, as well as follow-up inspection services during machine down-days. You will work closely with customers to solve machine operating problems through innovative applications of roll covers, bowed rolls, and services. Building strong inter-reliant relationships with customers through quality on-site service and social interaction is essential. Additionally, you will provide customer feedback to plants, research, and sales management, manage the post-sale activities of an order to ensure timely deliveries of a quality product, and mitigate warranty settlement costs while maintaining customer relationships and confidence in Stowe Woodward Mount Hope roll cover and bowed roll products. Communication is key in this role, as you will need to relay field activity, including sales opportunities, inter-company items, and competitive issues to the appropriate Regional Sales Manager. You will also be responsible for managing an expense budget within the guidelines provided and performing other job-related functions as assigned.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Degree preferred in Engineering or Business and/or extensive maintenance, production or sales experience within the paper or other related applicable industry.
  • Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and a strong entrepreneurial drive.
  • Strong computer skills including solid understanding of Word, Excel and general database management.
  • Extensive travel required within the assigned region.
