The Application Engineer II role is focused on ensuring compliance with application engineering procedures, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with sales and engineering teams to develop customer solutions. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and strong communication skills to effectively manage customer relationships and deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Champion compliance with application engineering procedures during AE onboarding.
• Provide insightful feedback to the Lead Application Engineer regarding the performance of Application Engineer I in training.
• Exhibit outstanding communication and mentoring skills during training and onboarding.
• Determine the technical and commercial requirements of applications accurately.
• Select appropriate products to meet application needs.
• Develop precise cost models for standard and custom equipment.
• Set competitive pricing levels and realistic lead times.
• Communicate requirements effectively to internal engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Collaborate with the Sales Team to develop and present customer sales strategies.
• Partner with customers and the Engineering team to create innovative custom solutions.
• Manage the commercial and technical aspects of customer relationships.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with internal resources and the Sales Team.
• Deliver timely and effective communication to internal resources and the Sales Team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or a technical degree.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in an Application Engineering role working directly at an OEM.
